World No Tobacco Day, May 31 2019

WHO stated that tobacco consumption causing more than 7M deaths every year around the world. In INDIA, deaths due to the consumption of tobacco, one of the largest preventable cause. Usage of tobacco and its products leads to hazardous health issues like different types of cancer, heart problems, lung diseases, brain strokes and a lot of other health problems.
To create awareness of over these negative impact causing by tobacco usage on people’s lung health which causing severe respiratory disease to cancer World Health Organization (WHO) organising World No Tobacco Day every year on May 31 since 1987.
The aim of the event is to focus on the health risks which are associated with the usage of tobacco and to encourage governments and other public groups to bring effective measures to stop smoking and consumption of various tobacco products.
This year’s WHO started the campaign with a theme “tobacco and lung health” on this World No Tobacco Day 2019.
“Stop Smoking, don’t let your future go vein in smoke.”
